The verdict is in - superpest Sean Avery has been handed down a six-game suspension by the NHL for his ridiculous comments in Calgary earlier this week.
We'll have to wait and see what the Dallas Stars do with him. The team's AHL affiliate has already said "thanks but no thanks" to the possibility of Avery being sent down to the minors.
Now if the NHL's disciplinarians can only get on the same page regarding hits to the head...
