This is a very interesting look into how many misspelled names have been engraved on Lord Stanley's Cup over the years...HM thinks maybe the League should let 2009 Spelling Bee champ Kavya Shivashankar do the proofing before they start engraving on one of the sports world's most coveted trophies!
Hmmm - other than Ovechkin, some of the other Capitals' names wouldn't be too worrisome for potential spelling errors. Green, G-R-E-E-N, just like it sounds. And Simeon Var-LA-Mov.
